First of all, i'm not sure whether there is such a year called Donkey Year .. but for me 2011 deserved to be called in a way. Misery year? Family and friends know better. But why donkey? When i was young, i was kind of puzzled why someone would use a donkey for transportation. Only now i understood that a donkey is stronger than a hundred men (ok may be not be a hundred). Though they make so much noise, they are strong and serve the purpose well. They climb hills and mountains effortlessly. They make noise not because they complaining, instead they love what they do. So Donkey Year is for those who love working hard and sometime make noise .. eh? 18 months of patience and perseverance though did not serve my objective of being financially independence does not make me a failure. For me, the lesson learned is much invaluable. For sickness and poorer, only for those who understand. And for that one person who did not stand by me during the 18 months, may Allah bless her for

Tiba-tiba heboh pasal Luna Maya yang dikenali ramai menerusi video popular bersama Peter Pan tersebar luas. Kenapa berita seperti ini cepat tersebar luas? Kenapa bukan kesah kejatuhan ekonomi yang mereka ingin perkatakan bagi memberi amaran kepada semua pengguna agar berjimat cermat menjelang tahun 2012? Aku, dalam kisah yang tidak ada kena mengena dengan Luna Maya, hari ini begitu rasa bersyukur kerana telah mendapat gaji yang pertama selepas 18 bulan tidak merasa hidup bergaji. Berkat doa semua pihak, terutama daripada kedua ibu bapa yang masih ada, dan tak lupa pada anak sulung aku yang tak pernah puas mendoa kan aku selepas tiap kali solatnya. This would be weird, because i will be writing about business this time. Those who personally know me, would not find that as strange. MAS had been in trouble for many times. As i would've remembered, they never really had a good time from the day Tajuddin Ramli took over the office. When the government (through Khazanah) took over, it looked promising when Idris Jala took the reign. But the rainbow never did shine through. Idris Jala moved on and new management came in. When Tony Fernandes walked in, i foresee troubles in the making. MAS has been and will always be the national carrier. It can be profitable for sure. But being national carrier, they have responsibility to the people. AirAsia in the other hand, wants people to believe that they are THE PEOPLE'S CARRIER. They want people to believe that air travel is affordable. But the fact is, air travel is affordable to some but not to the majority. The reason i'm saying this is, how many people actually got the RM9.

This is fun, now i'm back at the office. Back in the management chair. Ok my cubicle is still temporary until the LIMA 2011 is completed. But it is relieved to know that salary is back in the bank account, albeit the the new RHB saving account that i need to open. I have promised my kids that i will get them a notebook so that they can play multi-player games. This is cheaper than getting PSP, NDS etc which tend to get misplaced, broken especially from the China-made charger. 2 NDS, 1 NDS XL, 2 PSP, 2 Gameboys and a PS2 are now in the store room. /> NZM
